Getting told that two people wasn’t aloud in the white box, while trying to show my daughter how to lift weights the correct way. My daughter lives with me and while the person was telling me this their was 3 people in another white box and they definitely didn’t live in the same house, nothing got said to them but for some strange reason I got told this twice and given a final warning so left the gym shortly after that. One rule for one no rules for other’s, that’s how I saw it. Their was plenty of people doing the same as me and my daughter, nothing got said to them. Why have that rule when outside the white box you can get close as you want. How you meant to show a beginner how to lift weights safely with out hurting them selfs with out been in the white box, we could of used free weights outside the white box and could got a close as you like. What a stupid rule you have, I will be helping my daughter inside the white box next time I go and if I get a final warning again I will cancel my gym membership and go too another gym, might even go back to the gym I used to go too.

the facilities are great, there's a good variety of equipment. my only criticism is that although there are signs around the gym, not enough people follow the rules.most people do not wear their masks when walking between equipment and this morning 5/5/21 I saw 3 people at least not clean up after they had finished on a machine, leaving behind a lot of sweat.

Critical: Professionalism @ LongbentonI used to love this gym chain with its national reach and 24 hour services, however over the last 6 months I have seen a big change in the attitude of the staff. During the height of COVID there were no sharing of spaces (totally agree) unless you were young women with firm arses then the staffs attitude is that they can crack on a train together but if you are male they are sprung ready to threaten to ban you if you happen to walk across someone’s box. When Boris said that people of the same household could train together this PureGym used it to say if you train together you are out and banned even though my daughter is new to training and needed some support. I train regularly and felt I had to keep looking over my shoulders which became tiresome. However to compensate this my daughter was given some invaluable advise and was told that in order to do a skull crusher she needed to imagine she was masterbating a man. That was it and the last time we went to this gym.

Great place to work out, especially as I'm new to the gym. Atmosphere is friendly and there's always a space to do something.

Disappointed no big cable rack like quarter mile and a few of the benches had cracks and splits at the head peace’s

Pretty good all round. Still a few too many users wandering around without masks and too few staff members to try and encourage them to do so. For some it’s like the pandemic never happened.

Having a good experience so far.Less weights than I would like. Small concern when the classes restart as currently using the studio place to train so there might be an issue if training space once they are back up.

Gym very busy, tried to book a slot to guarantee a session. Unable to do this as "you don't need to book a session" the whole point of booking is that you're garaunteed a training slot. Rowing machine foot hold strap broken. Good vibes in the gym

Positive points: Equipment is good, everything i need is there, staff are helpful....Negative points: the flavoured water is meant to be unlimited !! Its not, so have to go up a large flight of stairs to refill my bottle, i usually train for 60 - 70 minutes and would use 2 bottles, i can't even fill my bottle and its less than a litre, changing facilities are messy, plasters in showers and on changing room floor, gym area sanitising stations are not always stocked up, I had to walk from 1 side of the gym to the other to find towels to clean equipment after myself (which I always do) ....I appreciate the staff have other things to do but the cleanliness is definitely an issue at this time

The gym itself is god value for money with a wide range of equipment and free weights. The multiple sanitation stations are also conveniently placed and well stocked. The only problems I have had has been the gym not enforcing itsown policies around the number of people allowed in each station. There is clear guidance around only allowing a single person in each bay but on multiple occasions, I have seen multiple people sharing equipment and group training. The worst example of this was having to wait 45minutes to get a squat rack while a group of 5 monopolised the 2 of the 3 racks. It is also a struggle to find the weights you are looking for since they are scattered around the gym. While this isn't necessarily the fault of the gym (They have clearly marked where which weights go where) they haven't enforced their policy of returning weights to the right place.
